1878

Founding of a foundry and mechanical plant on Kamennoostrovsky Prospect of St. Petersburg by the German industrialist RK Grosch.

1887

Commissioning of the production of pumps, pipes, fire hydrants by the new owner of the plant - the trading house "Lagenzippen and K0". Creation of a new production with foundry and mechanical workshops for the production of cast billets and fittings at the acquired new areas and facilities.

1914

Organization of "Joint-stock company of mechanical plants for the production of fittings, machines and supplies for the army and navy" on the basis of the plant.

The plant began to work for the defense of the state. Opening of the "state-owned" workshop, which produced charging boxes, flamethrowers, powder canisters, shells, shells of sea mines.

1921

Launch of the renewed production of copper and iron casting: a steel, iron foundry, rebar, model shop, laboratory are being built. The production of steel castings and fittings, valves, carburetors, cast iron for tractors, large fittings for new construction projects is carried out.

1939

The plant becomes the main supplier of ship fittings for the USSR shipbuilding industry.

1946

Specialization in the production of shut-off valves, gate valves, valves with nominal bore from 6 to 250 mm, nominal pressure from 0.5 to 40 atm. at temperatures up to 300C. The design of all processes and equipment is based on the principles of unification, typification, and interchangeability of products.

1966

Together with CDB of ship fittings:

Implementation of developments for the creation of a system of complex mechanization and automation of machine-building enterprises based on the typification of technological processes and the use of group processing methods;

Mastering the production of new alloys, surfacing, product designs;

Introduction of modern methods of producing castings: shell casting, using cold-hardening mixtures, obtaining melts of ferrous and non-ferrous alloys in induction furnaces, hot forging, including titanium alloys;

In cooperation with design and research institutes of the country, a large amount of R&D is being carried out to improve ship fittings, increase their reliability;

Creation of flexible variable-flow lines of standard groups of parts, flexible automated production;
